Dura-Europos (Al-Salihia)

An ancient Syrian city located on the west bank of the Euphrates River in the Deir ez-Zor Governorate. The city is distinguished by its historical importance as a commercial and military center where several civilizations met, and it contains very important religious sites such as the first house church in the world and some of the most beautiful paintings from an ancient synagogue.
