A prominent archaeological site located in the southeastern part of the city of Raqqa, the palace is distinguished by its unique architectural style based on baked bricks, and consists of a central square courtyard surrounded by porticoes and rooms. It was later used as a bimaristan (hospital) during the reign of Nur al-Din Zangi.
