Covered market

The oldest and largest of the city's historical markets, it is distinguished by its black basalt architecture and stone vaults. The market comprises 13 specialized sub-markets, such as those for perfumers, goldsmiths, and tailors, and today, after its restoration, it forms the vibrant commercial and cultural heart of Old Homs.
