Darwish Pasha Mosque

It is a historic Ottoman mosque built by the governor Darwish Pasha in Damascus in 1574 AD. It is distinguished by its unique architectural style, combining lead domes, an elegant minaret, and Damascene tilework. Located in the Qanawat district, it comprises a complex surrounded by an ancient covered passageway (sabat) and an old market, and is considered one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture in the city.
