National Museum

One of the most prominent museums in the Middle East, it is located in the heart of the Syrian capital on the banks of the Barada River near the Sulaymaniyah Tekkiye. The museum houses thousands of rare artifacts spanning different historical periods (prehistoric, ancient Syrian, classical, and Islamic), and its most notable features include the reconstructed facade of Qasr al-Hayr al-Gharbi, which serves as the main entrance, and the treasures of Palmyra.
