Suleymaniye Tekke

The Suleymaniye Takiyya is a magnificent Ottoman architectural complex in Damascus, designed by the architect Sinan by order of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th century. Today it is a cultural and heritage center that combines a majestic historical mosque with a traditional handicrafts market on the banks of the Barada River.
