Al-Adiliyah Mosque

The Al-Adiliyah Mosque in Aleppo was built in 963 AH (1555 AD)—though some sources cite 965 AH (1557 AD)—by Muhammad Pasha, son of Ahmed Pasha, during the reign of Suleiman I (the Magnificent). The mosque features a single cylindrical minaret constructed in the Ottoman style. It has a square ground plan, a rectangular courtyard, and two entrances—one to the east and one to the west—with a central basin for ablutions.
