This is followed by a tour of the churches and Straight Street. Afternoon: The Heart of the Old City and Its Secrets Starting at the Al-Hamidiyah Souq, followed by a break to visit the historic Bakdash Café, then on to the Great Umayyad Mosque to admire its golden mosaics and spacious courtyard. Evening: Farewell to the capital from above A quick shopping spree for souvenirs and traditional Syrian sweets, followed by a visit to Khan As'ad Pasha to admire its unique architecture with its nine domes. Conclude your day by ascending to the Damascus hill or the summit of Mount Qasioun to witness the enchanting lights of the capital twinkling at night.
